Before you buy something online, don't you check the reviews under the product first?
A single product has a great many reviews. But how many of them do you actually read before you buy?
Probably just a few: the best reviews and the recommended ones, the well-organized, high-quality ones.
Hundreds or thousands of stale, ordinary reviews don't help the way a few good ones do. Next to them, they are just unnecessary text.
